It has turned out that it's something else, something so much better! The author tells the story of the Pill, the One that we pop every day (at least once), to be happy. Or chill, or fall asleep, or whatever. It's our new religion - psychopharmacology. Robert Bennett has a bit odd way of telling this story - he's showing us how the meds work through a series of examples: literature and movies mostly. It can be slightly annoying at times, but overall it makes the book easier to read. I truly enjoyed how the author is telling the story and how he's asking the questions about our reality/society. It's a book placed in the USA, but I believe it could be about any given civilised country. Psychotropic meds are gaining its popularity,...
